Georgia Roofing Rescue Helps Disabled Veteran Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
When Hurricane Helene moved through Augusta, Georgia in September 2024, its powerful winds and heavy rain damaged homes throughout the state. For one local disabled veteran, the storm resulted in a total loss of his roofing system and the need for a complete replacement.
Georgia Roofing Rescue was honored to help him move from storm damage to a finished new roof and what began as a roofing project developed into a genuine friendship.

A Roof Declared a Total Loss
After Hurricane Helene, the homeowner needed more than a quick repair. His roof had sustained enough damage to require a complete replacement.
Georgia Roofing Rescue documented the roof’s condition, explained the replacement process and kept the homeowner informed as the project progressed. Hunter felt the same sense of connection. By the time the roof was complete, this project had become about much more than shingles and construction. It was about helping someone who had served his country feel supported while restoring an essential part of his home.
